The International Society for Mine Surveying (ISM) is an unofficial academic organization under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Founded in 1969, it now has 43 member countries. So far, it has held 17 international mining survey conferences and 49 presidium meetings. The Society holds a conference every three years, which is the largest and highest level academic event in the field of international mine surveying. The conference carries out extensive and in-depth exchange activities through academic conferences, equipment and technology exhibitions, technical surveys and other forms.
The 18th International Congress for Mine Surveying will be held in Xuzhou, China, in October 2023. Experts, scholars and technicians from all over the world in surveying, mapping and remote sensing, geological mining, resource environment and information engineering will introduce the latest research results, show successful cases of technology, conduct multidisciplinary integration, and put forward future development directions and application needs around the theme of the conference, "Smart Mapping and Surveying, Green Mine". This congress is not only a platform for participants to exchange scientific and technological achievements, but also a platform for participants to form new ideas through technological collision, and also a platform for participants to contact old friends, meet new partners and reach cooperation intentions. Experts, scholars and technicians at home and abroad are welcome to attend the meeting.
